Family tradition on birthday mornings necessitates whole wheat buttermilk pancakes cooked in the shape of the birthday child's new age.
Isaac had a definite Lego set he was hoping for! We pulled it off again!! Now -- where am I going to put this one??!
I've learned lessons on cake decorating watching Nana do some amazing things (cowboy boots, butterflies, etc.) This one was fairly easy and turned out well. A softball cake (last year) is even easier!
My handsome eleven year old playing outfield with the dads and boys.
The cheerleaders watching intently. Isabelle is awaiting anyone needing her compassionate care.
Isaac's 11th birthday went off without a hitch. He had a sports oriented party complete with dads and boys playing softball and flag football. I made a football cake and we all enjoyed a "take me out to the ballgame" style lunch complete with hot dogs and all the fixin's. The #11 pancake was one of the easiest to make thus far! He received his favorite gift for his birthday -- a new Lego set as well as some fun p.j.'s, football paraphernalia, and books on classic cars (his latest craze). What a joy my precious middle child has become in our family! He is irreplaceable in my heart!
