The family bees have been busy! Last night we were blessed to harvest our own honey for the third year in a row. Our sweet neighbors joined us to help from the beginning to the end and went home with several jars filled. It is a 6-8 hour process including cleanup. I'll just let you imagine how sticky the garage floor becomes! We do eat a lot of honey here in our home, but much of this will find its way into gift baskets for harvest, holiday, or birthday treats.

I am a dedicated homeschooling mother of 3 incredible and inspiring children. I am blessed to share my life with them, my husband of 22 years, my oversized Golden Retriever - Kale, a puppy named Snow, 2 spoiled barn cats and 2 adorable kittens, 25 some-odd chickens, 1 gentle giant of a horse and 1 cinnamon colored horse aptly named "Diesel", and thousands of honey bees on our 7 and a half acres in Idaho. I thank God each day for the privilege of living, loving, laughing, and learning with my family in the atmosphere of home education and all that it affords.
