Faithful Servant

My dear pastor and missionary friend, Orv Halley, left this world to enter into Christ's presence this early morning. A vivacious, amazing man of God -- he will be missed terribly. Orv and Roberta have sat at our kitchen table many times in the past few years, sharing their mission with us and our children through their words and many photos and slide shows on their computer. They always sought to include us in their work, first to the Russians they tried to communicate with and more recently to the young missionary families on the field (see www.heartofgod.com). With his huge stature, encouraging embrace, and laughter to fill the room, Orv was beloved in our family. It would be an incredible picture if we could somehow see just HOW MANY lives he has impacted for the Kingdom in his life here on earth! We rejoice with him and his family at his HomeComing where there will be no more pain and where he can linger in the arms of God for whom he has served so faithfully over his lifetime.
