What an eventful Easter weekend we have just come through!!
We were blessed to have Andy and Dyana and their kids with us in our area for much of the week, spending all day Saturday with us -- from pancake breakfast in the morning to finishing off with a meal together at our favorite local restaurant -- with dolls and four wheelers, playing and talking and walking and laughing all in between!
The highlight for me was watching our girls so happily together for hours in a row. Might I mention that perhaps our new horse edition "Diesel" is just as much for Sarah to ride when she comes as it is for Daddy? :-) The girls spent a long while soaking up the joy of walking, loping, and galloping through the field side by side. It was precious.
Easter morning dawned bright and beautiful here in Idaho. 72 degrees and perfect blue skies made for an amazing day! There were 22 of us here after church to share Easter brunch and a hunt to top all hunts afterward.
Encouraged by the other moms, both young and old hid for eachother and then had the pleasure of taking to the pasture and orchard to find their stuffed eggs.
As you can see, the big kids got pretty creative in their hiding spots :-) It didn't deter Isabelle and her friend from joining forces (the tall one lifting the short one) to attain the prized egg.
About 15 feet up a tree, Isaac found some creatively hidden eggs.
Afterward, as is tradition, the kids barter and trade with eachother - enjoying their new treasures and then sharing fun times at the volleyball net and on the playground. Good friends and fun combined with the most meaningful day of our year ..... God is good. We are praising Him for these cherished moments within His awesome creation. Rejoice!! He is risen!
