Happy Birthday Sister-Belle!

Our little girl turned 11 years old today .....

Her birthday morning started as all of her birthday mornings since she came into our lives began.
Waking, singing, hugs, gifts each individually chosen and given with love, and birthday number homemade whole wheat/buttermilk pancakes.

Traditions solidify life.

No parties this year.  Just the enjoyment of a friend over for the afternoon yesterday and dinner with a beloved family from church.  A trip to the local D&B with Daddy and gift card in tow finished off her birthday morning.  Brothers doing her Saturday chores.  Time with her animals.  Celebration dinner with Grandma and Grandpa enjoying all her favorite foods (and desserts!).  And enjoying her gifts .....

My little handmaiden has become an artist of sorts.  Knitting, sewing, and weaving.  Now she will be able to do the latter on a real loom of quality wood.

A old tool chest painted to match her room and filled with beautiful fibers to weave and create with round out the picture.

It wasn't even an hour before she began her first project :-)  Hands to work, heart to God.  Life doesn't get much better ......
