Josiah took his first solo trip without a family member last week. Traveling 15 hours in one day, he and 15 other men and young men from our church headed down to southern California (L.A.) to attend the Shepherd's Conference -- a 3 day event filled with workshops and speakers from around the country.
Nearly 4,000 men attended this remarkable event. Each day was filled with opportunities to worship, eat, study, learn, eat, sing, laugh, and eat some more :-)
It was a tremendous privilege for Josiah to be able to participate alongside some amazing men from our church family. There were opportunities to talk, debrief, and ask questions after several of the keynote addresses.
Laughter and fun mingled amidst serious note taking and learning as Josiah and the other men listened to speakers such as John McArthur, Steve Lawson, and Al Mohler (to name just a few).
He came home vibrant and eager to discuss all that he had learned. This "Joshua Generation" is walking in obedience to God's will. I am so blessed that my sons are among the many desiring to live as godly men. To God be all the glory!
