The Many Faces of Isabelle

It is rare to be in the presence of a truly happy person.  I get that privilege and opportunity each and every day with my sweet daughter.  She is sunshine personified!  I wanted to share a few of my favorite pictures of her from this winter.  Above is one of Christmas morning upon the realization that her stocking was stuffed with yarn of all colors for her latest passion -- knitting.

During our frigid January, Sis experimented with all types of winter regalia each morning before going out to do her many animal chores :-)  She has another coat on under this one!

THIS is classic Isabelle -- creative, silly, and perfectly content with her own imagination.  During our early February thaw, our backyard became a literal pond.  Always wanting to take advantage of a body of water, she created her own skiff and fishing pole and spent a good hour "floating" about while the dogs watched on curiously.

Valentines Day morning, she enjoyed the riddles which accompanied each clue on our annual love-themed scavenger hunt.

Weekends now have new meaning -- after chores and other obligations, her Saturday ride with Daddy is at the top of her list of "favorite things to do" for this happy horsewoman.

In doing my yearly spring cleaning, I found two curling irons no longer getting regular use and happily handed them down to my girl.  To date, she has spent several joy-filled hours singing to herself in front of the mirror while learning to curl her hair.  Tonight she shared with me, "Mamma, I'm ready to become a young lady."  Ahhhh ..... God is so good and while I am sad to see her fleeting childhood rush by, I am so thankful to see her change and emerge and grow into such a beautiful butterfly.
