My boys just finished off a stellar weekend participating in the teen program iElect put on by Generation Joshua here at our statewide homeschool convention (www.chois.org).
During their long two days on campus, they came to fully understand the elective process by living it out. Beginning with caucuses, and moving on to party meetings, primary elections, campaigning, and finally a general election, they learned the ins and outs of just how a president is elected.
From the beginning, Josiah stood out as a leader with Isaac serving as an extremely ardent supporter :-)
It was such a blessing to see this -- and truly the fruit of much discussion, discipling, and prayer.
Josiah was nominated as his party's candidate and several hours of campaigning ensued. All 115 participants got in on the action, campaigning parents, leaders, speakers, and eachother! Everyone involved in the convention was encouraged to vote.
By God's grace and much effort on his party's behalf, Josiah was elected president of the Idaho iElect program. It was a fantastic moment and we were very proud of his efforts and accomplishment.
We really appreciate our new friend and head of Generation Joshua - Will Estrada. He did a fabulous job leading all the kids involved (ages 12-19). It was a great learning experience filled with fun! Both boys look forward to participating again next year.

Not surprised. Tell Josiah congradulations. Tell Isaac "way to go", getting his candidate nominated and elected. Josiah- better keep that future president t-shirt may have a historical value someday.
Love to all. Nana
