We are all still glowing in the days and now weeks following Josiah's recital. Of course, life has moved forward, but I'm not wanting to forget the tremendous outpouring of heart, soul, and music that occurred that wonderful evening. I just received a disc with pictures taken by a talented young photographer in our church. Please take the time to enjoy her beautiful work at her website: (http://theworldthroughacameralense.blogspot.com/).

The afterglow and taking formal pictures as well as sampling the delicious desserts -- all home baked and served by friends in our church family. These gifted ladies spent hours baking, freezing, shopping, and serving on our behalf!

I made the mistake of putting the pictures in the opposite order -- this is of the applause and standing ovation Josiah received at the conclusion of his recital. I can see that smile in my mind even now ....

Our accompanist and friend did a truly outstanding job. He was so patient, encouraging, and diligent in all his efforts. They made a great team.

We had an entry way table with memorabilia, an enlarged photo of Josiah playing his violin, and a framed photo showing only his hands and violin scroll. Surrounding this photo was an oversized mat in which we encouraged audience members to sign and write something personal to Josiah. It will be a treasured keepsake for a lifetime.

The church elder that also baptized Josiah this past summer, played with Josiah and Isabelle and led the audience in singing Josiah's favorite hymn -- "Amazing Grace." Oh .... how I wish my Grandparents could have seen and heard this! I know that my Grandfather would have been so moved by this testimony of music ....

We will cherish this evening and this memory for the rest of our lives. I am so so thankful that we had the opportunity to share God's work in the life of our family through the gift of music.
