At approximately 8:07 this evening, I realized that Isabelle didn't have any white shoes or sandals for tomorrow's Easter Sunday service! When I pulled out a nice replacement dress with a black velvet top, suitable for wearing with the black dress shoes we currently have, Isabelle's exact words were,
"Mommy! It's Easter Sunday -- a happy day! We don't want people to think we are going to a funeral!"
What's a mother to say to sound logic like this? This dilemma is one of the rare downfalls of giving so many of our things away to those in need!! Occasionally we miss something such as little girl's white sandals -- even if they are a tad too small. Well -- Daddy to the rescue! Joe went to two different stores at near closing time (we do not live anywhere near shopping) to find his little girl white shoes to wear with her Easter dress tomorrow. You're the apple of your girls' eyes, Daddy!
