Josiah daily sat through a working lunch debating bills while participating with the Health and Welfare Committee at Capstone Student Legislature. Although it doesn't look like it from this picture, he says that the committee time was his favorite part of his day during Capstone week.

Participating in debates on the Legislative floor was fun for Josiah -- particularly in working through all of the parliamentary procedure, "Thank you Mr. Speaker and ladies and gentleman of the house."

Josiah and several others were privileged to meet our District 13 representative Steve Kren. Several state representatives and one senator honored our Capstone students by attending their graduation this afternoon.

It was a real privilege to daily listen to a variety of speakers. Our district state representative Ron Crane was the speaker during Capstone graduation. His speech was both inspiring and dynamic.

Representative Ron Crane spent several minutes talking with the students from his district and encouraging them to be involved, make their voice be heard, and to contact him with any concerns or questions they might have.

Josiah received his graduation certificate from the elected Capstone representatives and "Governor" (who happens to be a personal friend). He is now officially an "alumni" and will be able to participate as such in future years -- this includes an audience with the Idaho state Governor (the real one!). What a tremendous week!! I don't think life will ever be quite the same for my young politician :)
