Medieval Feast

The royal family of King Joseph I in full regalia!
(Joe's words to me before this picture: "I feel like a curtain!")
Lady Isabelle taught us about Martin Luther and played the hymn "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God"
Sir Isaac of the Kronz Estate served as one of the court entertainers and taught us about the building, purpose, and defense of the castle.
Josiah and our friend Danielle served the royal families and had a separate table as peasants and servants  :-)
After one of our students did a juggling act as court jester, King Joseph I tried his hand at it and did quite well!
My garage was transformed complete with castle walls, presentation boards and props, and U-shaped table.  We ate on bread trenchers and served a 3 course traditional medieval meal using only our fingers and knives.
The students displays for our year's worth of activities, projects, and learning served as decorations along the walls.
Another happy and memorable event is now complete!  It is fun bringing history to life with our kids!!
