Happy Birthday Josiah

And so it is that 17 years ago today, a young man came into my life after 13 hours of labor, 9 days overdue, and with hardly a sound. He and I stayed awake nearly that whole night looking at eachother ....... Although I am a born-again believer and remember with vivid color the moment in which I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior, it is these early morning hours with this sweet new creature which have served to change me like no other.

We have been buddies and friends and confidantes from the beginning. I, his biggest fan and never far companion, and he, a gentle and understanding hug never far away. With Joe spending so many of those early years away from home, Josiah and I discovered the world together -- always talking, always observing, forever near my heart.

We have shared a tremendous amount in these 17 years. He has been such a blessing in my life. His personality and zest for learning and living have stretched and molded me to be the person I am today. He is a tremendous gift for this little family. Loved and adored by all .... Happy Birthday my precious son.
