We had a lovely Thanksgiving celebration here at our little farm. It was a small celebration -- only feeding 13, with three of those being tiny waifs of little girls who hardly eat enough to keep themselves alive :-)

We roasted the smallest of our homegrown turkeys -- 16 lbs. and basted her with freshly picked rosemary from my garden along with butter and garlic. My home smelled heavenly.

I spent two hours creating these little candied creatures. They were a big hit (and might I say even a favorite dessert?) with young and old alike. They were also adorable sitting in front of the children's place settings.

Of course, Thanksgiving day was just the precursor to the really "big" event here on the farm -- and that was the arrival of our new yellow lab puppy "Snow". She is adorable, full of life, and already quite obedient for 7 weeks. All seems to be going fairly smoothly and Isaac has been an able student as he bonds with his dog. More pictures to come!!
