"Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow ....."

My favorite line in the famous hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness" has the words: "... strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow ....."  I am camped on those words these days as we are seeking both strength through our days as we grieve the emptiness of places once filled by Josiah, but also are living in bright hope for tomorrow as we rejoice in this new chapter of his life and watch with anxious anticipation as he steps into adulthood and life as a first year law student.

Our beloved brother and son pulled away today on his several day journey across the country to
his new home in Virginia.  We had an entire month with him home and a final week of focused time to enjoy so many hours of conversation, meals, and treasured times of togetherness.  Although our hearts are heavy at times and our eyes are sometimes brimming over, we are standing on God's promises to protect and guard over Josiah through the days and weeks of newness to come.

Thank you for your prayers on his behalf.  My God is so faithful to abundantly supply all our needs!

Praying for you. I'm sure I will feel the same, when the time comes to our home.
