We were privileged beyond measure to spend 3 glorious days in the mountains alongside Lake Cascade participating in our church's yearly Family Camp.
The Sunday service included a baptismal service which Josiah had prepared to participate in.
He gave a beautifully written and delivered personal testimony of his walk with the Lord and his decision to make a public profession of his Christian faith through the ordinance of baptism.

One of the elders of our small Bible church baptized Josiah in this amazing setting.

Isn't God so very very good?

Along with this meaningful experience, we also spent an amazing 3 days fellowshipping with dear friends, new friends, and fellow believers who have made similar decisions with their family as we have in ours. The activities were varied, but all fun and all with friends alongside.

Isabelle spent at least 4 hours each day in the lake waters. Her eyes were completely bloodshot by the time we pulled out, but it was worth it to see her swim so well and enjoy herself.

Isaac waterskied for his first time -- getting up without a hitch and not even getting his hair wet! Our little athlete loved this experience and was so happy with himself for this accomplishment.

My kids spent a decent amount of time in the boats either tubing, skiing, or just along for the ride.

I'm so glad we brought Isabelle's bike. There was a loop around the campground which she likely rode nearly 100 times alongside friends young and old.

Ultimate frisbee was played for hours. Praise God, there were only minor injuries throughout the weekend. I love our church for the age-integrated focus it takes. All are welcome and my kids interact with young and old alike. This is one of the many bonuses of homeschooling.

Isabelle enjoyed taking many pictures -- particularly of the many puppies which joined us for camping this year.

Games, games, games. If they weren't running, they were playing games of all sorts.

Football, Isaac's sport of choice, was enjoyed by many. He held his own against the big guys.

I caught Josiah in a cerebral moment. No studying was allowed this weekend, but he found reading material somewhere! :-)

Each evening was spent in 2 hours of worship, singing, testimony, Bible reading, and prayer. What a beautiful, memory-making weekend for our family. We are so so blessed.

Looks like you all had a wonderful time! Congrats to Josiah!
What a blessing to know that your son walks with the Lord... and has such a firm understanding of the truth in His own walk and life.
I only wish we could have been there...
God is good :)
