Shakespearean Debut

The past two nights, Josiah has participated in the Shakespeare play "Twelfth Night" put on by the teens of our church. It has been an incredibly fun experience for Josiah (and us all!) as he has had some unique experiences to fellowship with other Christian youth while learning to act and discourse in Shakespearean verse.

The kids had an hour of "quarantine" inside the house prior to the show beginning each evening. It was incredibly touching and inspiring to see them initiate on their own the using of that time in worship ... all gathered around the baby grand piano and singing hymns lustily together. They made an incredible choir! It was the most moving part of the whole experience for me .... as I stood in the background humming along, tears rolling down my cheeks in thanksgiving for such a unique and incredible church body.

Isaac and Isabelle, among their friends also dressed in costume, were privileged to serve during the production, offering plates of cookies and water to the audience at intermission and after the play.

Josiah had only a small role, perfectly suited to his crazy academic schedule this year, and played "Valentine", the guard and kinsman of Duke Orsino.

His few lines were spoken well and with great volume and clarity (spoken from a proud mom).

A job well done to the whole cast and crew!! Thanks for another great experience and memory maker for my kids!
